One South Street1 South St, Baltimore, MD 21202 onesouthstreet.buildingengines.com
The 31 story office tower known as Commerce Place was completed in 1992 and is the fourth tallest building in Baltimore. Geraldine Pontius, Associate Principal at RTKL, led the design team and oversaw technical aspects of the project. The skyscraper is an example of Postmodern architecture and is used for commercial offices, retail space and parking. Visitors will be able to see a spectacular view of Downtown Baltimore from the 21st floor, view a special exhibit on the building’s design and see the preserved facade of the historic Safe Deposit & Trust Co. of Baltimore building in the courtyard. Ms Pontius will speak, using original design materials at intervals during the day. Tours to a high floor will take place continuously.
