The 31 story office tower known as Commerce Place was completed in 1992 and is the fourth tallest building in Baltimore. Geraldine Pontius designed the building while working for RTKL Associates. The skyscraper is an example of Postmodern architecture and is used for commercial offices, retail space and parking. Visitors will be able to see a spectacular view of Downtown Baltimore from the 21st floor, view a special exhibit on the building’s design and see the preserved facade of the historic Safe Deposit & Trust Co. of Baltimore building in the courtyard.
