About the Tour

Make your way through the Aquarium’s new state-of-the-art Animal Care and Rescue Center—located in historic Jonestown—as you talk to expert staff and perform water quality activities. This behind-the-scenes tour brings you into a working facility where staff care for the National Aquarium’s newly admitted animals and animals that are off exhibit, build Aquarium habitats, and care for rescued animals. Opened in 2018, this new center allows guests to view animal care and welfare work previously unseen by the public, expanding the Aquarium’s ability to educate the community on the critical importance of conservation.
