About the Event

This walking tour of West Lafayette Avenue will explore the many historical and cultural sites from Park Avenue to Lafayette Square with discussion of the potential role these historical and cultural sites can play in meeting the challenges that face the redevelopment of the Avenue.

The tour will begin from Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian Church located at the southwest corner of Park Avenue and West Lafayette Avenue in Bolton Hill. Meet at the terrace in front of the doors on Park Ave.

About the Tour Guide
David Gleason, FAIA, is president of David H. Gleason Associates, Inc., an architectural firm he established in 1976 to focus on projects located in historic districts and inner city neighborhoods. A recognized expert in the field of historic preservation and infill architecture, David has developed a knowledgeable background in various building types and detailing that span over two hundred years. David has served as President of AIA/Baltimore, The Baltimore Architecture Foundation, and the Preservation Society as well as serving as a Commissioner for Baltimore City’s Commission for Historical and Architectural Preservation.
