Information
The McKim Free School was funded by John McKim, a Quaker merchant. Its design was modeled after the Theseum temple and the north wing of the Propylaea in Athens. Opened in 1833, the building served as an early free school in Baltimore City. Today, the building is home to the McKim Community Association, which offers programs for youth, adults and senior citizens of the Jonestown area. Go on a guided tour!
