About
The Baltimore World Trade Center, renowned as the tallest pentagonal-based skyscraper worldwide, stands 405 feet tall with its 30-story structure. The 27th floor is an enclosed observation level referred to as “Top of the World”, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the entire city. Completed in January 1977, the building comes alive at night with illumination designed by Ray Grenald. Xenon spotlights positioned at its base are reflected by parabolic mirrors at the top five corners, casting V-shaped beams into the night sky. The building has become an icon of the Baltimore skyline at the Inner Harbor, appearing to rise out of the water like a ship, its prow pointing towards the sea.
