The Alchemy of Art is a unique and innovative art space that seeks to blend creativity with community engagement. Originally a convent for nuns who taught for Holy Rosary Church, in the mid 1950s the space was converted into a Polish transitional home for newly arrived Polish immigrants. Subsequent conversions have turned it into a single family home and then an antique shop,Sabina and Daughters, which zoned it for business.
Today the gallery focuses on showcasing a diverse range of contemporary artworks, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media, often emphasizing the transformative power of art. The Alchemy of Art not only highlights the work of local and regional artists but also serves as a hub for artistic experimentation and collaboration. With a mission to inspire and connect individuals through creativity, the gallery hosts a variety of events such as workshops, art classes, and interactive exhibitions, encouraging participation from the community.
