Good Shepherd United Methodist Church

3800 Roland Ave. Baltimore, MD 21211

Information

On July 1, 1999, three United Methodist Churches, Woodberry, Otterbein Memorial, and Roland Avenue-Evergreen, merged to become one new church bearing a new name: Good Shepherd United Methodist Church that drew inspiration from one of the church’s beautiful stained-glass windows.

From its humble beginnings in Hampden and surrounding neighborhoods as numerous distinct churches that formed in the late nineteenth century, to its current role as a beacon of inclusive love and hospitality in the community, Good Shepherd United Methodist Church is a small congregation with a big mission. As the church continues to change and adapt, it remains steadfast in its mission to “care for the needs of God’s children within and beyond its walls” – to serve and uplift the community, reflecting God’s all-encompassing love for all creation.
