Construction of Hotel Brexton began by Charles E. Cassell, architect and owner Samuel Wyman in 1881. The original single-family house featured a distinctive slate tile roof and red brick and mortar. A renovation added a front canopy in 1927. From 1987 until the 2007 the building laid vacant. This is the childhood home of Wallis Simpson who went on to become the Dutchess of Windsor.
